Online training for social institutions · KVJS & oeconos
Rising costs, a shortage of skilled workers, thin liquidity and an uncertain funding landscape: the economic pressure on social institutions and inclusion companies is growing noticeably. Together with the KVJS – the Municipal Association for Youth and Social Affairs Baden-Württemberg, oeconos GmbH is offering a new, purely digital training series on crisis prevention in the social economy from 30 September 2026. The aim: to recognise crises early and act in a prepared manner, instead of only reacting when it is too late.

The series is aimed specifically at leaders – managing directors, facility and division managers as well as those with economic responsibility. In five compact online sessions, the focus is not on theory for its own sake, but on concrete tools, an honest assessment of where you stand and, at the end, an individual mini crisis-prevention plan for your own organisation. The training follows on from the very well-received series „Social media for inclusion companies“.
Economic crises announce themselves. Those who know the early warning signals gain the decisive room for manoeuvre.
Why crisis prevention – and why now
Liquidity bottlenecks, collapsing revenue sources or rising staff costs often appear months before they become a threat to survival. This is exactly where the series comes in: it provides a clear understanding of how crises arise, the stages through which they progress and the levers that leaders can adjust early on – economically sound, yet consistently tailored to the reality of social institutions.
What the five modules convey
1 · Recognising early warning signals
Interpreting economic warning signs before they turn into a crisis.
2 · Understanding crises
The stage model as a map – plus an honest assessment of where you stand.
3 · Strengthening sales
Actively shaping offerings and opening up new target groups and revenue sources.
4 · Managing costs
Analysing cost blocks and prioritising effective measures.
5 · Securing the future
Diversification, mixed financing and scenario planning.
★ Your result
An individual mini crisis-prevention plan for your organisation.
A key added value lies in the confidential exchange among leaders who face comparable challenges. Every participant leaves the series with a working document that can be transferred directly into their own management.
Schedule & dates
The training takes place entirely online via Microsoft Teams, each Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.:
| Session | Date | Topic |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 30 Sept 2026 | Industry reality & risk situation |
| 2 | 07 Oct 2026 | Understanding crises: stages & dynamics |
| 3 | 14 Oct 2026 | Strengthening sales & positioning |
| 4 | 21 Oct 2026 | Cost management & resilience |
| 5 | 28 Oct 2026 | Diversification & crisis-prevention plan |
| 6 | 27 Jan 2027 | Implementation in the organisation (optional) |
The optional sixth session, around three months later, serves to reflect on and refine the implementation in your own organisation. The dates listed are a proposal; the final scheduling is agreed with those registered. The two oeconos series on crisis prevention and AI take place one after the other, not in parallel.
Costs & funding
€249 net
effective own contribution per person for inclusion companies from Baden-Württemberg
This is made possible by KVJS funding via the Integration Office: initially, the regular participation fee of around €1,250 net per person is invoiced; after the series is completed, KVJS reimburses 80% of it. Inclusion companies outside Baden-Württemberg are also welcome – here the full fee applies, and funding via the respective responsible Integration Office must be clarified independently.
Who will benefit from taking part
The series is aimed at everyone who bears economic responsibility in social institutions and inclusion companies and wants to prepare for uncertain times. No prior knowledge is required – the series starts in a practical way and meets all participants where they are. The time commitment remains manageable for leaders: five hours spread over several weeks, plus the optional follow-up.
