While many companies look solely to innovations from Silicon Valley, it is precisely start-ups from Israel that are exciting for innovation transfer and scaling in Europe.
In March 2017, Minister President Winfried Kretschmann and Minister of Economic Affairs Dr Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut visited Israel together with a delegation of around 70 representatives from business and science. oeconos was there too and contributed its previous experience to the discussion. Particularly on questions of digitalising business models and successfully scaling start-ups, we were able to make an important contribution based on our experience.
It is precisely the medium-sized companies of the automotive industry from Baden-Württemberg that are looking to Israel for innovations. A study by the consultancy Roland Berger and the Israel Export Institute shows that, with more than 5,000 start-ups, Israel holds a leading position in innovative strength. In addition, around 1.6 billion dollars were invested in the smart mobility sector.
We support clients, particularly from the automotive sector, in specifically identifying innovations in Israel that can make a substantial contribution to their existing business model, and in preparing to scale them on the European market.
